A handsome one-volume collector's edition, boxed and bound in red leatherette with gold, green, and blue foil stamping, featuring two-color text setting and large format fold-out maps, contains the complete texts of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King, as well as six appendices. In ancient times, the Elven-smiths crafted the Rings of Power, and Sauron, the Dark Lord, forged the One Ring, imbuing it with his own power to rule over all others. However, the One Ring was taken from him, and though he searched for it throughout Middle-earth, it remained lost. After many ages, the Ring fell by chance into the hands of the hobbit Bilbo Baggins.
